Easter Seals is the leading non-profit provider of services for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, and other special needs. For more than 90 years, Easter Seals has been offering help and hope to children and adults living with disabilities, and to the families who love them. Through therapy, training, education and support services, Easter Seals creates life-changing solutions so that people with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in their communities.
The Easter Seals Disability Services Club exists to provide services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities and special needs can live, learn, work and play in our communities. The Easter Seals Disability Services Club aims to raise the awareness of these disabilities throughout Diamond Bar High School while also providing service to the community through fundraising and other club-held events.
The Easter Seals Disability Services Club funds its activities through contributions from local businesses, food drives, and the distribution of personalized pins and other hand-crafted projects for donations, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Easter Seals Disability Services.
Each month, our club will hold a general meeting for the discussion of news regarding the official Easter Seals Disability Services and its projects. Our members will be active in soliciting contributions who are interested in lending a helping hand to the club’s worthy cause. The Diamond Bar High School Easter Seals Disability Services Club will promote its message throughout our local community at town centers, libraries, and markets. The youth of Diamond Bar will do their part to helping people with disabilities around the world.
DBHS Easter Seals Disability Services Club will advertise though the high school newspaper and have a booth/table during club drives to raise funds and spread awareness of the needs of the disabled. Fliers may also be posted around the community to draw support for the club’s goals.
